Preparation

- In another bowl, mix the milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
Frying
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
- Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil, frying until golden brown on each side, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove beignets and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
Serving
- Dust generously with powdered sugar before serving. Enjoy warm!
Notes
To store leftover beignets, place them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days. For longer storage, freeze individually wrapped beignets. Reheat in the oven before serving.
