  • 1.5 cups milk (or almond milk for dairy-free)
  • 1 large apple, diced
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.25 cups maple syrup or honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp baking powder
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.25 cups chopped walnuts or pecans (optional) Optional ingredient

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
  3. Stir in the oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt until combined.
  4. Fold in the diced apples and nuts if you’re using them.
  5. Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish and spread it out evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden and the center is set.
  2. Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm, optionally topped with yogurt or extra fruits. Store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze in individual portions for longer storage. Reheat in the microwave or oven before serving.
