Ingredients

Pudding Base
  • 1 box Instant pudding mix This forms the creamy base of the dessert and adds sweetness.
  • 2 cups Cold milk Milk activates the pudding mix, creating a thick and rich texture.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract Enhances the flavor of the pudding and cream cheese.
Cream Cheese Mixture
  • 8 ounces Cream cheese, softened Adds richness and a creamy texture to the dessert.
  • 1 can Sweetened condensed milk Contributes to the sweetness and creaminess of the filling.
  • 1 cup Whipped topping Gives the dessert a light and fluffy finish.
Layering Ingredients
  • 1 box Vanilla wafers Provides a crunchy texture and delicious flavor.
  • 2 medium Bananas Fresh bananas add natural sweetness; slice into rounds.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the instant pudding mix and cold milk for about 2–3 minutes until it thickens slightly. Add vanilla extract and refrigerate for at least 5 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Mix in sweetened condensed milk until well combined, then gently fold in half of the whipped topping.
  3. Peel and slice the bananas into ¼-inch rounds, optionally tossing them in lemon juice to prevent browning.
Layering and Chilling
  1. In clear plastic cups, mason jars, or trifle bowls, layer ingredients: start with vanilla wafers, followed by banana slices, cream cheese mixture, and vanilla pudding. Repeat layers until filled, finishing with whipped topping.
  2. Top each cup with extra whipped cream, crushed wafers, banana slices, or caramel. Refrigerate for at least 2–3 hours before serving.

Notes

Use ripe bananas for the best flavor. Chill the pudding for a thicker consistency. Don't skip the lemon juice for preventing browning. Layer carefully for an even presentation. Can be prepared in advance for easy serving.
