Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 12 pieces Fresh strawberries Ripe and firm for best texture and flavor.
  • 1 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips Melt to coat the strawberries.
  • 1/2 cup White chocolate chips For drizzling or dipping.
Decorations
  • 1/4 cup Red sprinkles For festive red accent.
  • 1/4 cup Blue sprinkles For the 4th of July theme.
  • 1 teaspoon Vegetable oil Can thin chocolate for smoother dipping.
  • 1 pinch Sea salt To balance sweetness, if desired.
  • optional as needed Neutral-flavored oil (e.g., coconut or canola) If preferred.

Method

Preparation
  1. Wash and dry each strawberry thoroughly, leaving the green tops on for easy dipping.
  2. Melt semi-sweet chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler until smooth, adding vegetable oil if needed.
Dipping
  1. Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off. Place on parchment paper.
  2. Melt white chocolate and drizzle or dip each strawberry for contrast, immediately adding red and blue sprinkles.
Setting
  1. Chill the dipped strawberries on a tray until the chocolate firms, about 15–30 minutes.
  2. Arrange on a platter or store in an airtight container.

Notes

Make sure strawberries are fully dry before dipping to prevent chocolate from seizing. Work in small batches for the best results, and avoid storing in humidity.
